Spending 13 working years for OVC, I have joined many kinds of projects which are mainly  factories and companies … From September 2012 to December 2013, I have done the biggest project which is a very proud project. That is AEON Shopping Center Tan Phu Celadon project which is located at residential area of Tan Phu District. With a multifold workload in comparison with other projects and a short construction schedule, we met many difficulties and pressure. Besides that, some objective elements such as unfavorable weather condition and execution in residential area obstruct the basement excavation works. Although we had to face with arising difficulties, thanks to the whole-hearted support and direction from leadership team such as Mr. Yamanaka, Mr. Kurosawa, Mr. Sato … and the cooperation of all sections and engineers, the construction is completed on schedule. Moreover, Vietnamese staffs and I have got more experiences about new technical standards and new working style through this project. We are always determined to keep going ahead for best results. I greatly appreciate all your kind assistance.

On the way to success, there is no trace of lazy men.

Whether in study, work, play, or love ... you need to try your best in what you do.

This is not only essential to succeed, but it also helps you overcome feelings of apology, regret, or sin against yourself. When you put 100% effort into everything you do, you will always be satisfied with the results even if it is not the best result. Remember, no one can accomplish everything perfectly, but try to do the best as you can and you will not regret it for not trying harder in the past. The American quotes: "Success is a ladder that you can not climb with two hands in your pants pocket." You can not achieve the goal you want without moving and trying for it.

This is one of many important and useful things to me after 17 years working for a top-ranked company that I consider it as my second family.

Hello,

I’m Huong, 39 years-old and I am the Accounting Manager of Obayashi Viet Nam Corporation – Hanoi Branch.

I started to work for Obayashi Corporation with the project for construction of the Embassy of Japan in Hanoi, Vietnam. I was very young at that time, just graduated from the University and thought just to work for the company for 2-3 years maximum as the construction project lasted not so long.

Project for construction of the Embassy of Japan in Hanoi was a very special one to myself. It was the first time I contacted with modern office equipments and stationeries, though smallest and simplest but all were imported from Japan. They were designed in best shapes, cute colors and particularly very user-friendly. I was taught “NOT ONLY TO MAKE THINGS RIGHT BUT ALSO MAKE THINGS NICE”. I have had a lot of good memories during that time, going along with priceless photos that make me feel so lucky to have participated in the project. Those are photos of Japanese-style living room, bed room and working room of the Ambassador’s family, the purely Japanese garden with beautiful landscaping, pagoda lamps, flowers and trees in the middle of Hanoi Capital.

I remember the time of 1999 when the company had only few staff and the annual turnover from the construction project was under 1 million US dollars. Although having been entrusted and nominated with many projects, the Company had to apply for Contractor license for each individual project. Then we had step by step overcome the impacts caused by the South East Asia economic crisis in particular and the global downturns in general. After 20 years of operation in Vietnam, the number of staff is now more than 150 engaging in large scale projects with their construction capitals up to 100 million US dollars. I always believe that the Company will be further expanding and succeeding in the near future.

The opportunity came as I was just a new graduate, and now I am a married middle-aged lady with two daughters. I think Obayashi Vietnam Corporation will be the company that I will attach my life through. One more wonderful thing is that my first 8 year old child really loves Nipponese. Japan country affects her very much through her mother’s stories. She often tells me that she wishes to travel to Japan and study in the country whenever she has an opportunity.
