HAKONE TOWN
Located in the Mount Fuji area of Izu National Park, Hakone has a lot to offer such as natural views across Lake Ashinoko, Mount Fuji and its hot spring resorts (on-sen), of course, what the town are most famous for.
Crossing some zigzag paths, climbing up the hill and down to the valley, Ashinoko Lake which surrounded by jungles, alpine mountains and vast blue sky appears as a perfect beautiful picture of the nature. Behind the red Torii gate, people can sit contemplating the Mountain and feel the grandness of the mountain on beautiful days.
Finding real local cuisine as you explore the natural landscape is also very interesting. Hakone has a unique black egg as one of the typical dishes of this town.
In Hakone, you will feel close to nature and very peaceful. Just about 100 km from Tokyo and convenient to travel, this is a perfect tourist destination when visiting Japan.
